Ok, so it may not be that historical for others but for me, being invited by the trustees of the Biggin Hill Memorial Museum to photograph their newly completed facility, was a huge privilege.
The team have shed blood sweat and tears to deliver a space that provides opportunities for reflection, education and interest. It was a huge task. I hope that the resulting images convey the effort and achievement of all involved.
The Museum is set in the grounds of the St Georges RAF Chapel and sympathetically embraces the original Chapel and grounds. Inside the museum recalls the experiences and stories of those who served at the station as well as those involved in making it such a significant centre of operations.
